I am a specialist librarian for art, architecture, and archaeology at the Zentralbibliothek Zürich and a private lecturer at the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture (ETH Zürich), where I was a research and teaching assistant (2001-2012). At the Digital Humanities Lab, I am participating in the SNF project ‘Digital Materiality’, and have worked on the SNF project ‘Die Bilderfolgen der Basler Frühdrucke’. My research is focused on medieval and early modern art, with a special emphasis on print culture, Renaissance humanism, and architecture.

I studied art history and German at the University of Basel, and graduated in 2012 with the master’s thesis Architektur und Heiligenkult. Die Inszenierung Thomas Beckets in Canterbury und die Folgen für die englische Gotik am Beispiel von Lincoln. Currently I am working on my PhD project in art history, Die Fassaden mittelalterlicher Sakralbauten in England und ihre Rezeption im 19. Jahrhundert under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Barbara Schellewald.
My research interests include mediaeval art and architecture, especially Gothic architecture in England and Northern Europe, the late 18th- and 19th-century medieval revivals, and the receptions of mediaeval art and architecture in general.
At the Digital Humanities Lab, I am working as an assistant on the SNF Project ‘Digital Materiality’, with a focus on the reproduction of mosaics.

I am a PhD student in experimental physics at the Digital Humanities Lab.
I develop the software and hardware part of the Digital Materiality project, mainly using technologies such as RTI, PTM, C++, Matlab and WebGL. I help develop SIPI (Simple Image Presentation Interface).
As an assistant, I help students develop film and photographs in the darkroom.
I studied particle physics at the University of Trieste and worked as an R&D engineer. I have a good knowledge of programming practices, image, signal and data analysis, and electrical engineering principles.
